Travel To and From Jamaica

Half Moon is located in the parish of St. James on the beautiful Caribbean island of Jamaica. It is only a 15-minute drive from Montego Bay’s Sangster International Airport, which offers daily flights from a number of gateway cities in North America and Europe. In addition to a variety of international airlines, Jamaica also welcomes some of the world’s most popular cruise ships, which often include Jamaica (and particularly Montego Bay) in their lists of must-see destinations.Many of the special packages offered at Half Moon include airport transfers to and from Sangster International Airport. On-island Travel

Jamaica has a modern transportation infrastructure that makes it easy and convenient to get around. Once guests have arrived on the island, they can select from a variety of transportation options, including taxis, buses, rental cars and even private planes. The Half Moon concierge can arrange for private transport anywhere on the island, and Jamaica Tourist Board-licensed taxis are available at the resort.

Rental Cars

To rent a car in Jamaica, visitors must be at least 25 years old, carry a valid driver’s license and post a bond to meet insurance regulations (with cash, major credit card or travelers’ check). Helpful hints: Drivers travel on the left side of the road; the speed limit is 50 KPH in towns and 80 KPH on highways; and service stations are open daily.
