Jamaica History

Jamaica was once a British colony, achieving full independence in 1962.  Throught the island are Great Houses, which are former estates of the many sugar plantations that were a major part of Jamaica's history.

Today, Jamaica offers a wide array of activities reflective of the country's rich history.  Sample the famous jerk spice, enjoy cup of Blue Mountain Coffee, listen to the beats of Reggae music resounding throughout the country or shop around the island at any of the many specialty artisan shops.
