The outside world is a distant memory when you arrive at the Fern Tree, A RockResorts Spa® at Half Moon. This 68,000-square-foot indoor/outdoor sanctuary for the mind and body was inspired by Jamaica’s lush landscape and centuries-old healing traditions. Here, guests are treated to the personalised spa experience that will achieve complete wellness and utter bliss.
Utilising hardwood floors, grand entryways, and opulent furnishings, the spa's treatment rooms are set amidst lush gardens, allowing guests the option of having their room enclosed or open to their own private garden terrace. Couples may reserve the overwater spa bungalows sitting atop the Caribbean Sea, which open on three sides welcoming nature's most hypnotic rhythms – soothing waves and sea breezes. Families, wedding parties and groups may opt for the Fern Tree, A RockResorts Spa® Cottage with separate living and spa treatment areas for maximum comfort. The luxurious spa also houses a relaxation lounge, yoga pavilion, sauna and steam rooms as well as a meditation labyrinth.
Fern Tree, A RockResorts Spa® at Half Moon melds modern spa techniques with ancient remedies of native herbs, fruits and botanicals. Embraced by the land and sea, our natural paradise is tucked away from the fast-paced material world, an ideal destination for guests desiring wellness and relaxation through the special native Caribbean healing methods.
A carefully planned focus on balance and symmetry are reflected in the treatments and overall design of the spa. Therapists are trained to guide guests toward a path of wellness and relaxation using a combination of both Caribbean treatments and modern techniques that work to transform your inner and outer being. By assessing the body, mind and spirit balance, therapists show guests the necessary steps to move away from the stress of everyday life toward a journey of vitality.
Created for all Signature Treatments, guests are welcomed with a ceremonial foot bath. You are escorted to a reception area to sit and relax, enjoy traditional Jamaican Bush tea and receive a foot bath infused with calming lavender water or rejuvenating nutmeg oil.
For centuries, Jamaicans have been using indigenous herbs, flowers, bark, roots and fruits to heal and nurture their people. Expanding on its central philosophy of wellness, Fern Tree, A RockResorts Spa® at Half Moon offers a dedicated Spa Elder versed in the art of holistic healing.
The Spa Elder will guide you through the four phases of wellness: individual, body, mind and spirit. Incorporating the natural herbs and botanicals found in Jamaica, the Spa Elder creates treatments that incorporate both traditional remedies and modern spa techniques. The Spa Elder is available for classes and private consultations to develop personalised wellness and rejuvenation programmes.
One of Half Moon’s most luxurious accommodations, our Jamaica Spa Suites allow guests to have spa treatments ensuite, enjoy personal training right on their terrace or have a bath drawn in the unique chromatherapy tub. Only a few feet from the Caribbean Sea and our Overwater Spa Bungalows.
Enjoy a delicious wrap, salad or refreshing fruit plate at the Spa Café. Detoxifying juices and teas are available during and after your treatment. Relax at the Café or in one of the many relaxation areas pool side. A valet will cater to you as you relax and drift away. Our attached menu is full of healthy Jamaican treats. Fresh Jamaican fruits and Champagne are available as well.
Any guest of Half Moon can enjoy afternoon tea/coffee and a snack at the Fern Tree Spa Cafe. You don’t have to have a treatment to enjoy the Café. Grab a book from the library and sip a cup of hot lemon grass tea while enjoying the melody of the birds singing in the palm trees.
